It sure was a downer seeing the vehicle and the new friend leave in one direction and the cop and his captive in another.

A realization was being to occur that police officials enforce the rules of society and jails are not for bank thieves. Folk who drink and drive commit a heavy offense. Ladies and children and all the rest use the general public highways. Drunk drivers run counter to the serve and protect mottos of the police and laws they enforce.

Perhaps all the rest of the drunks at the party had escaped this destiny but the fences and concertina wire on top added a sinister component to where the cop opened the back door and showed the way to the booking area and where private belongings would be taken. The gold ring and watch was placed in a property envelope and gold coloured ring and watch was written down. In case they were lost only the value of the color gold would be owed.

The jail area was not like those in Western films. It was a large holding area with thick glass windows and a communal toilet with no privacy. Did the authorities purposely plan a degrading and humiliating environment? Rather like adding the finger to the injury as one says. Or, it was a good example of negative reinforcement. Any one nutty enough to love it here would need another kind of help.
